Application

Anhydrous calcium chloride is a commonly used dehydrating agent and desiccant in industrial production and laboratories (but it cannot dry ammonia, hydrogen sulfide and alcohol). It is mainly used for drying gas, petroleum, organic solvents, etc., and is used in metal making in the inorganic industry. Calcium, the raw material of various calcium salts, calcium chloride is also used as a textile sizing agent, water purifier, antifreeze, food preservative, road cleaner, etc.
