Barium sulfate

Chemical formula BaSO4, colorless or white rhombic crystal system. Barium sulfate is the only non-toxic barium salt. Used in analytical reagents, electronics, instrumentation, metallurgy and other industries, as a white pigment, stomach X-ray imaging to take the medicine, copper smelting flux, drilling mud specific gravity enhancer and rubber, paper, plastic white filler. It’s made by reacting sulfuric acid with barium chloride.
